I hope you got chance to download Microsoft’s Worldwide Telescope yesterday. Some of the tours are just mind-blowing. No, that’s not right: all of them could be mind-blowing, it’s just that I’ve only had chance to look at 2 so far and they certainly blew my mind.
The initial view of the screen looks a little “busy”, there’s obviously a lot of depth to this software, so if you don’t know where to start do what I did. Turn on your speakers and choose the “Galaxies” option at the top of the screen, then view both “seven top galaxies” and “M82 cigar galaxy”. VERY impressive.
