Just in case you have never placed a comment on a blog: here’s a beginners’ guide.
You will see that it really is very straightforward.
Some blogs demand that you register, before you can leave a comment. I have made it easy for you - you don’t have to register.
All you have to do is to find the article (the “post”) of mine on which you wish to comment. Look at the very bottom of it, and you will see a blue link entitled either “No Comments” or “(number) Comments”. Just click on the link and a “Leave a Reply” section will open up for you to type in your comment.
You may either use your first name, full name, or (if you prefer anonymity) a nick-name.
Rest assured that your e-mail address will not be displayed: I totally respect your privacy.
Once you have finished typing in your comment, just click on the “submit comment” button (immediately underneath your typing) and your comment will appear live on my blog for the whole world to see! That’s all there is to it.
My Policy on Website Promotion
If you are a bona fide member of my site (i.e. you have signed up to receive your 20 free e-books and my newsletter), I have no problem if you wish to leave your own web address within your comment. You may have the free publicity with my compliments - all I would ask is that you keep your comment relevant to the content of my blog post, and not make your comment an out and out advertisement. In other words, you play fair and so shall I.
If you leave a comment on my blog that promotes your website, but you are not a bona fide member, you will receive an e-mail from me politely requesting that you sign up to my newsletter. If you do not do so within 7 days, then I shall delete your comment. In other words, if you don’t play fair, then neither shall I.
Training session over. Type a comment on my blog and you will have officially passed Part 1 of your Blog Exams!
I look forward to reading your comments.
All the best
David
